The Dangers Of Human Growth Hormone
When media darling Anna Nicole Smith died suddenly in her hotel room in Florida, it was discovered that she was on daily injections of a cocktail of medications, including human growth hormone. It is thought she died from an infected injection site in her left buttock. Human growth hormones are often taken by injection as the preferred dosing method. Why was she taking human growth hormone? Because it supposedly makes you younger and prettier. Well, at least now Anna Nicole Smith will never have to worry about growing old.
Had Anna Nicole Smith Survived
However, if the blond Marilyn Monroe-wannabe had survived, she most likely would have caner to look forward to. According to a 2000 report done by the Cancer Prevention Coalition, tanking human growth hormone significantly increases your chances of getting cancer of the breast, colon and prostate. (Okay, so she wouldn't have had to worry about the prostate cancer.)
Another thing she may have had to look forward to is going to jail or paying a whopping big fine for taking human growth hormone in a way not recommended by the FDA. Human growth hormone is even banned in some countries. Just ask actor Sylvester Stallone, who was arrested by Australian officials for bringing over 40 vials of human growth hormone into their country.
And, in a decade or so, Anna Nicole Smith probably would have discovered that her body was rapidly aging – more so than if she hadn't taken any human growth hormone. Although the initial effects help you to loose unwanted body fat, over time the side effects are that it stresses the body too quickly. She most likely would have developed diabetes or hypertension from the human growth hormones.
Just Because It's Natural, Doesn't Mean It's Safe
One of the arguments for the liberal uses of human growth hormone for beauty and building muscle mass is that it's natural stuff – although genetically engineered natural stuff. It mimics a bodily chemical that tells the liver to put out chemicals to do all kinds of supposedly wonderful stuff for you.
There is also a movement to replace genetically engineered hormones with bioidentical hormones, based on steroids and botanical extracts. There is no concrete evidence that these are any safer for you. In fact, they're just as dangerous. If you really want a better looking body, you have to diet, exercise regularly and learn how to manage your stress without chemicals.
